Sergeant Floyd Monument
Sergeant Charles Floyd was the only member of the Lewis and Clark expedition to die on the journey, and he rests on the bluff above the Missouri that still bears his name. The tall stone monument marking the spot is a Sioux City landmark you can see for miles.
